“Outperforming The Future®”
Becomes A Registered Trademark of Quazant® |
|
|
HOUSTON, March
20, 2004 / Press Release / -- The United States Patent and Trademark
Office has officially recognized “Outperforming The Future®”
as a registered trademark of Quazant®.
The USPTO provided Quazant with its official Certificate of
Registration, which documents “Outperforming The Future®”
as an officially registered and recognized trademark, thereby affording
the company all the protection associated with such a registration. |
|
Federal
registration has several advantages including public notice of our claim
of ownership of the mark, a legal presumption of ownership nationwide,
and the exclusive right to use the mark on or in connection with the
goods or services set forth in the registration. |
|
The United States Supreme Court has made the
importance of trademarks rather clear. It stated, "The protection of
trademarks is the law's recognition of the psychological function of
symbols. If it is true that we live by symbols, it is no less true that
we purchase goods by them. A trademark is a merchandising short-cut
which induces a purchaser to select what he wants or what he has been
led to believe he wants. The owner of a mark exploits this human
propensity by making every effort to impregnate the atmosphere of the
market with the drawing power of a congenial symbol. Once this is
obtained, the trademark owner has something of value". |
